Rev A says there is a diagonal crack from the first S in STATES. But the lines on the shield don't seem to merge. Can't see some of the other diagnostics he lists, but go back and look for the other minor breaks. That would be 1A.

Hard to tell from your pics, but it could also be the lg 5 over sm 5, which would be 3C, but I can't match up the shield line description with your coin. If it is the lg/sm 5, then your rev may be a lter die state

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Not an active collector of this series, but I do Have the Briggs Book

I would need better images before even trying to attribute.

I’ve got the Briggs book, too. From your pix, it looks like die pair 3C: reverse die crack pretty certainly indicates rev. C which, per Briggs, only pairs with obverse 3. Obverse marks in your pix look like old, fine test scratches, not die cracks. Which is good, I guess, since Briggs didn’t find any on obverse C.
    BTW, v. nice coin

Well i am back. Family time you know. I really thought that the bieceting die crack would be all i would need to get the variety, big mistake . i am sure the reverse is die "B". here is why i know, vertical line #1 reaches horizontal line # 4. Vertical lines #4 and #6 extend below the shield line to the top of the arrow feather. The right side shield line extends well below the bottom point of the shield through and to the bottom of arrow feather . The bieceting die crack must be a very late die state . this is paired with obv. #2 The reason i did not show the whole coin is because it has a large hole at 4k sorry. Still a neat piece for the die state.
