What are you guys using to manage your coins and currency inventory? I'm using my own custom made spreadsheets in excel but as my collection is growing and sometimes I'm selling stuff it become hard to keep track. I was wondering if you guys use some specific software or something like that to make it easier.
Here's what I use. https://www.libertystreet.com/Coin-...PbGQXGnUnLUBUJzi5Od3JSSDAYzsyFk8aApY0EALw_wcB
Thanks for shaking! That's exactly what I'm looking for, I see they have it for currency too but my problem is that I have a mac computer and they have software only for windows...
I like Excel since I can tailor the content to suit my tastes. I even learned to insert links to coin images stored on my computer.
Excel. I have a worksheet for each denomination, with each year being a row having a column for quantities & price for 5 grades, AG, G, F, EF, and UNC. A couple times a year I update my price list using CoinStudy. They don't give a price for AG, so I just use half the cost of Good unless that falls below the bullion value, then I use that. I have the spot price of silver in one cell in the workbook that all the worksheets pull from to summarize the silver value in my collection.
Excel is good because you can customize everything but when you have like 500 items it becomes kind of cluttered and things are hard of find and keep track when something is sold or given away...maybe it's just me...even thou I know how to use the find button
Polyethylene and cardboard. Bags and boxes. And I'm not sure what the SDB is made of, probably steel. But that's a higher-level organizational tool; within the SDB, it's still plastic bags.
This. I spend a lot of time keeping it accurate. I usually add links to web sites describing types and varieties and also to NGC’s coin explorer, price guide etc.
I have been using Coin Elite for about 30 years. It's not cheap but it has worked really well for me. http://www.trovesoftware.com/
