I have a question for people interested in these coins. I'm looking to purchase one.

I like the land tortoise ones with the segmented shells. I've seen some rarer types that have the head side on, (as with the earlier archaic one's) as opposed to the type with the head seen from above.

These two coins are in the latest NAC catalogue (Hope I'm allowed to put them up without their permission? Remove or let me know if otherwise).

Anyway, these are out of my league, but are the two general types I'm looking at.

What do people think, any preference? I think I like the archaicness of the head on it's side. (I've flipped that picture on it's side, in the catalogue it is in the same direction as the other).

Both types are very attractive and when I find one within budget I like will happily purchase.

These are both desirable, but, in my case, I bought the first that came along that I could afford

I like your coin Bing. I like the profile head on those earlier types.

I'm guessing the profile head on the later land tortoise type was a transitional type between the earlier coin like Bing's and the later type with the head seen from above.

I still believe the sea turtle should be shown swimming left.
