That is cheap compared to AJ's post. His AU50 went for $266. Do you have any wonder why I am having so much trouble find one unc. for my collection.
yep http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130221470703&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:1123
Yes but that coin was a 24 D. These are 24 S. I bought the 2 weeks ago for 155. hmmm maybe Im the idiot.
for those of us who are just getting into Lincolns.. would you guys be willing to explain just how much the prices have jumped
I'll get out the redbooks for last few years, then I'll do a CDN 1 year spread. Too late tonight, too much like work, I'll get it this weekend. You'll be amazed.
Which date? What time frame? 11-S, 14-D, 23-S, 24-D, 24-S, 31-S and virtually any early full red wheat has probably doubled in the last <2 years - some of those dates in red may have doubled in the last year or less. Then you get some of these VF/XF slabbed coins going for double to triple grey sheet prices. I am having trouble maintaining a price list.
Rlm, you take the BU-RB & RD's, I'll do collector circ grades....the dates you posted. Should be a neat study.
I did not limit those dates to unc's. Some may be limited to au (23-S), but all have gone nuts from what I have seen. From what I have seen, the circulated coins from those dates have done the same. However, I think all early reds have gone nuts and most later high grades have done the same.
thanks! Ill keep watching for your update! maybe Ill post some of my Lincolns. There only 40's and 50's so far
IS that 2 or 3 14-D's? They look like a couple of mine. That is a sharp 31-S. A couple of years ago, those were going for $85. will bet you wish!
Wow! Thats a lot for a fairly common date. At least they were common a few years ago when I bought a nice XF example for $5. Some people and their money. Guy~
XF is now $29 on cdn. Now try finding a nice au, unc or especially one with red on it (natural, not cleaned).
