Was actually inspecting my 94's and 95's then I had a hunch. I only have seven 88's and these 4 display the wide AM. Should I take them to get authenticated or is maybe one of these circulated lincolns worth the grade school? What grade would you give them just for sport? Be honest or fair and don't worry I won't catch feelings if these really aren't but 4 cents.
Wide AM 1988 are normal. Read the website Chris provided. Wide and Close AM fall under Variety not Error. Yours cents are worth 1 cent each. Penny - Singular Pennies - Plural Not Penny's
All 1988 Lincoln Cents have Wide AM. It is not the Wide AM that is rare. It is the Flared G on the designer’s initials which is extremely rare = RDV-006 (The Reverse of 1989). Here is a helpful explanation: http://www.error-ref.com/transitional-reverse-1988-1c-with-reverse-of-1989/ https://adventuresincrh.blogspot.com/2018/02/1988-with-reverse-of-1989-lincoln.html
Thanks guys, I mixed up my dates thinking of the 98 wide AM. Smh, I should of stayed focused on my 84 and 85s I will look at that link , thanks Chris. Oh thanks for the spell check as well...
Interesting. So what are we looking for? An 1988 or 1989 penny with the flared G? I'm confused, which one?
