1943 wheats

    Me and the wife where roll searching today and pulled about a dozen 1943 steel wheat pennies these where the best two out of the bunch. I have a full set that are in nice condtion so these are just extras. Though i would share them with everyone. Enjoy.

    We also pulled about 50 for our albums to so a decent hull. :)

    Now that is something. Usually most bank counting, sorting machines push them aside I was told at a few banks due to a magnetic retractor for fakes. Must have been rolled by someone trying to get rid of them. My favorite coin too. I've collected them when I was a kid and they were new. My Dad gave me all that he could find. Still have about 30 rolls of them. Nice find.

    Nice Find! :yawn: I have gone thru 20 boxes of pennies and have not found one Steel cent...Maybe i will get lucky one day:goof: Congrats!

    just wait 'till the near future!! you all will be finding a lot of steel cents.................and "nickels" too!!!

    at least according to the latest coin world issue.
