No. Those images are so shaky and blurry that I can't see anything. You have arrows and a label, but I literally cannot tell you what those arrows are supposed to be pointing at. I do think that your cell phone is capable of taking good photos with a little practice and effort. But I do not think those images are good at all. A good image should be crisp, clear, in focus, and properly lit. Look at your pictures and those Mat took, in post 2. Absolutely no comparison.
I will say at one time I wanted to get a different phone. I go to the store and they were having a sale. Oh boy a SALE well by the time you get done buying all the new crap for the thing I changed my mine. I still dis like this phone but it does take nice photos.
Cell phones do make taking pictures and uploading them to the internet very easy and convenient. But if I want real quality pictures, I get out my 35mm Canon. I've been taking a few pictures through my telescope at night with the cell phone. Those can turn out ok as well. But again, if I'm looking for quality pictures, the camera does a better job. IMO
@Hunting Rare there is a thread around here somewhere about taking pix with the cell phone. Use something to stabilize the phone (the aforementioned stack of books) and get a cheapo bluetooth shutter trigger so you don't even have to touch the phone to take the shot. That and lighting will get you far.
