Although I haven't done a lot of research on it, it seems like most of the Jefferson die cracks I see are on war nickels. This is my first non-war nickel Jefferson.
You're correct - most Bisecting Die Cracks like that are on WarNicks (and 1940-S Nickels too, for example) but I don't recall seeing this DC on the 53-S. Nice find - congrats
Extremely nice. You can see that crack without the close ups. A great addition to your collection. I just have to ask, have you thought about handling it a bit more, you know, just enough to make that crack open up and split in two? Then you could submit for grading as you have both halves. Lol I only ask as I have a beautiful split planchet war nickel but I've never seen a nickel that cracked in half into two pieces like yours.
I wish I had 2 or even "3" separate parts of one error coin like @paddyman98 has! No such luck from where I sit! However, I do have another war nickel with Bisecting Die Cracks on the rev. going from north to south and east to west.
Keep looking. It took time but I found this and I'm very pleased. I'm sure you can locate one to add to your collection.
@furryfrog02, @Collecting Nut- Those are sweet! Thanks for sharing! @furryfrog02- You got something going on up here as well?
You need to reread what I wrote. It's self explanatory. You missed the point and the joke. Try being less critical and more humorous. It makes life better.
@2manyhobbies- Is this you? If it is, your video motivated and inspired me to start and complete a 7070. Thank you! (no gold however)
Lol does not a joke make. You obviously don't know what kind of personality I have. I see plenty of uninformed and ignorant responses like the one you made that made me think you didn't know what you were seeing.
I have 2 1945 die cracks they are on the war nickles more idkw......i have a question that I can't find answers for anywhere online did they make proof war nickles?
