I figured I'd make a thread here and post my random questions about Guatemala coins. I have two at the moment that have got me stuck. 1. Does anyone have a photo of both 1958 Guatemala 5 Centavos date varieties? (Large and Small)? I've been trying to find a reference but have been unable to do so. 2. Is anyone aware of the 1956 10 Centavos "GUATEMAIA" varieties? Anyone have pics of one? Thanks for any help!
I have been able to figure out the 1956 10 Centavos "Guatemia" issue (the I is an incomplete L). Still trying to figure out the Large VS Small dates for 1958. If anyone has experience or photos showing the differences I would appreciate that. One other question I haven't found a good explanation for is Thick Striae VS Thin Striae. Most of the 1960 denominations have a Thick or Thin Striae variety. Anyone know anything about how to tell the difference on those? Thanks in advance. I appreciate it.
