Tried to take as level a pic as possible except for angle to show the 2 in date. 9 appears fatter then the rest. Also how many varieties are there and would Wexler have them to view? Oh and of course is this DDO, MD or DDD. Thank you
That website was last updated in 2018, so that really doesn't help, re: 2019 coins. However, I don't see any doubling on the 2019 coin presented.
Need close ups. Early days for 2019 varieties to be listed...as you said, they are being discovered as we speak...Spark
Wexler is still struggling with Parkinson's and has not updated as said above since 10/18. He did do an article on a 2019 doubled die that someone here posted the article of. It's not likely to please or impress a lot of folks here who consider the new doubling descriptions not true to what they were/are used to and find them annoying though.
Yes, a minor one. I just got a bank box of solid dates of 2019 P and there are way too many of them for me to count. Also found a nice die crack in the obverse hair of which there are also many. Also, die cracks at the O in One and the right side of the banner at the T in Cent.
...looks like it...but, then, the entire shield cent series is fraught with them. From 2010 to the present, what is hard to do is find these crappy Zincolns without a die crack of some sort either side...Spark
This is a quote from an article John Wexler wrote for Coin World magazine. (Sept. 16, 2019 issue). "All 2019-dated Lincoln cents that I have examined so far have an abnormally thick 9 in the date".
