1968-D penny possible error

    So I found this penny the other day with a weird O in God. I'm wondering if it's possibly a mint made error or just messed up during circulation. Thanks in advance

    Can you take clearer photo of the O from the top? It looks interesting from the photos, but (at least I) am not able to see clearly what it is.

    Also good to always post full, clear pictures of the obverse and reverse when asking for opinions here. Saves you from having to do later and others will 9/10 times ask.

    Welcome to coin Talk.
    It may be a die chip or gouge. Need clear photos to make a correct description.

    Neat. Haven't seen that before. Looking at the light direction it appears to be raised, but then the O sinks at that spot as it continues to the rim. I don't know :confused:, but interested in the answer.
