Go back and read your own title.. You stated it as a question.. "Are these toned Lincoln cents considered valuable or just damaged?" .. You never asked if we consider it as "art".
The Error Coins forum should be to help new collectors in determining if the have a legit error or variety. We are not art critics. So don't go again telling us the specialist that we are wrong and that you are "laffin" at us.. It's so unnecessary and really not funny. If you consider it art then go open a coin gallery and display them.. But keep it to yourself.

I admit I like them but and keep the ones I come across that I like but I wouldn't go as far as to call them art art is something made by a person to express a thought or emotion. Toned coins while some are cool looking they get that way by accident even the artificially toned ones how they end up is a toss up. Sorry went way past my point which is if you don't like someone's opinion your free to ignore it or word your question differently.
Good night everyone have a great week.

Dude get a grip on it. Please do not holler at me for my opinion. You asked if your coins were damaged and I gave you my opinion. If you had asked if your coins were works of art I would have given you the same response. I will not rant at you if you think they are art. That is your opinion and I can respect that.

I may start collecting dead rats. They get really pretty once the maggots are finished with them. Any ideas of how to control the smell? I understand that slabs are not airtight so that won't work. I guess I could use plastic bags but that would hide the pretty art. There must be a way. I'll figure it out.

Shows how much you know about dead rat art 35% of the value of a dead rat is the smell eliminate that and you permanently lose part of your investment because you can never get that smell back.

I think I'll try a double layer of zip-lock bags. That should help slow it down but I understand that gases will still pass thru the bags. I think that's true? I'll have to study this more.

I would like to officially apologize to everyone one it was 5 in the morning and I hadn't slept yet (going through $10 in rolls of pennies) I take full responsibility for egging on the rats. It won't happen again.

I would like to apologize as well. My rat post was off topic. Actually it was a bit gross and poor taste on my part.

I think it's time to call this thread officially as dead as the rats. I will say one last thing it definitely showed what's great about cointalk people here can disagree even to the point of it getting a little heated but in the end we can have a laugh about it and still learn something new.
