Hi all Usually I'd post these individually but I'm not so sure if there's enough details on these to actually even get an ID. Hopefully one of you guys can help me. Any useful help is welcome. Thanks
Those really are a mess but first two look like Constantius II; top a SPES REIPVBLICAE and bottom a Fel temp
The bottom one is a Claudius II Gothicus commemorative, minted by his brother, Quintillus. There are many barbarous imitations of this coin; it's not possible to determine if yours is official or barbarous. Here's an official one (from Wildwinds - not my coin or photo): http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/claudius_II/t.html "Claudius, AE antoninianus, Milan mint. DIVO CLAVDIO, radiate head right. CONSECRATIO, altar with flames above, front divided into four sections with dot in each section. No mintmark. RIC V-1, 261 Milan, Minster hoard 476, common."
I'm not sure how you were able to figure that out, but massive thanks. I'm in awe of the knowledge of some of the people on this site.
