1979 Susan b. Anthony error

    I have this 1979 no mint mark Susan b. Anthony dollar with what appears to be but a blob. Is this an error? If so.whats the value? 20190921_095317.jpg 20190921_095357.jpg

    Could you describe what you are seeing in a little more detail? Because I don't know what you're talking about.

    Are you talking about the mintmark next to her shoulder? That is an S, meaning it was struck in San Francisco.

    That or the initials (under bust on the right) which took a hit.

    Im seeing a blob next to her shoulder. Not a descriptive letter

    Yes, that is an S. The mintmark that year was quite blobby. They redesigned it, but it quickly became blobby again.
