You can buy Half Dollars from the mint in rolls or bag. I assume people do just to get an example for their collection and dump the rest into circulation.

Quarter roll searching was frustrating and pointless until this arrived. Had to look at it three times to be sure I wasn't imagining. Not high dollar value, but a beautiful coin to look at. (Sorry for the quality of the pics, still learning) IMG_3675.jpg IMG_3676.jpg

That is a awesome looking coin for being in circulation, The sad thing is I won't look that good at 72 years old. LOL

Cashed out $250 in 40%ers today for 4.5x.
Picked up $100 dimes, $100 quarters, and $12 halves while I was depositing my 40%er check. Skunked...and 2 quarters were replaced with nickels so I got shorted 40c. Such is the game we play...

Sounds like you got a good price for your 40%ers FF. Did you sell to a LCS?

Yup. I put an add up on CL too but the offers I got there were between 2-4x face.

I remember visiting it back when I was in 3rd grade. Bought a raccoon skin hat there :p

    Just finished my 11th box of halves. Got 5 - 40%'s, (2 - 1966's, 1 - 1967, 1 - 1968D, 1 - 1969D), 1 - 1974S proof and 12 NIFC. This is one of my best box of halves yet. 20190920_183513.jpg

  17. Ok. I am new but there is no way as a die maker and finisher this error could have occurred except during minting. So let me have it. I bet I will get damage from everyone. Exactly but did not occur from circulation IMO.

that's a die chip. It happened as the die was being used, so yes it's an error.

Quarters take a lotta patience. Glad it paid off.
