Hi All-. Well I found another weird Coin. Has anyone every seen this coin? I can't find anything on Google searches. The reverse is just blank. Thanks in advance. Also thank everyone who has helped me on this forum. It's a great source for knowledge!
That is a bizarre one. I tried a bunch of combinations to discover something about it. Is the shape a hat, a cave, a tunnel, a bridge, an eye, the letter þ from Icelandic and Old English? It even looks a little like the first drawing in "The Little Prince" of a snake that swallowed an elephant. Given its relative crudity and very obscure symbols, I wouldn't be surprised it it's a one-off manufactured piece (maybe a gaming token?) made for some now unknown purpose. Unless someone else has any information and has seen this before?
Token of some sort. Lead, maybe? Maybe a POW camp token. That is just idle speculation. I don't know.
My guess would be a public transportation token of sorts. Could be even some type of game token or amusement park or traveling circus token. Whatever the case may be, it's a very simple designed coin so it's probably nothing too serious.
