I had been watching this raw Morgan and was poised to snipe it, but, alas, it appears that my $150 proxy was not quite enough to win it.

BTW I check the listings of a fellow CT member who's known for his quality coins at reasonable prices at least twice a week.

 

My two newest Morgns. The 1891 CC is probably the nicest 62 Morgan, I've maybe ever seen?

 

Just curious...did you look at an AU 58 instead of an MS 62 and if so, how much would you have saved ?

 

For the 1891 CC or 1901 S? I think I undestand your question? But.. I want to make sure before I answer.

Yes I wanted a 62 or better in the 1901-S. Matter a fact, I almost purchased one. But, I ran into the one above and made a compromise.
