There is one particular coin and medal grouping that I am watching particularly closely because I believe it will go for considerably more than the bidding range on it, a Scottish Testoon from 1561 with Queen Mary's portrait and a medallion that a case was made for and they were fitted into. The Testoon from that year is very rare anyway, but combine that fact with that it is a portrait coin and they are quite scarce from this reign and it makes it all the better. I would put a bid in, but I do not have luck on bidding on Scottish coins, only English for some reason. I am watching a couple of paper money lots also, and will likely cast serious bids there.
You can view the contents of the catalogs by using the link I posted. The catalogs themselves look like any other catalog - it's 3 books.
The catalogue itself, with all the photos, will be worth it weight in...whatever. Count me in please. Bruce
Please add me to the list. There's history and beauty in that catalog. I envision many enjoyable hours wishing I could buy a least one of them.
In looking at the coins from various countries, I found one, interesting to me, and in my price range. I might submit a bid on it. thanks for the link
