Here's a nice Gold Phocas coin I was gonna bid on, but not anymore as I spent my money! I know it's bent but I think it's still a really nice looking coin! What do you think? Is bidding on a bent ancient a big no, no? Were some of these bent in the minting process? https://www.ebay.com/itm/607-610-AD...233690?hash=item2cf531a9da:g:RZ8AAOSw4dNddbKb
Not in the minting process but by someone testing it to be real gold. These coins are affordable Byzantine gold, I would wait , you can find Phocas coins in very good condition and better than this example for around 500, this auction even though is at two hundred I am sure will close at least 100 or more higher. Too many bidders.
Great, I appreciate the heads up! Next time I go to a coin show, I'll be checking out the Ancient coins table!
Look at what that sucker sold for, someone must have wanted it badly! https://www.ebay.com/itm/607-610-AD...le-Mint-Gold-Solidus-Phocas-Coin/193092233690
