Ah! That reminded me I had this one in my non-British "tangent" collection:

Just got one similar, 1663. Not quite as nice.

Very nice. The modern Polish coins honor them quite well in my opinion.

Not even a tiny bit yet, other than I found it with a medal-crack dealer who I've now seen at NYINC and now the ANA show. I'd left him a single medal 'want' at NYINC in 2018. A few months later he emailed me with one he'd found in France. It was hideously expensive and I bought it anyway.

Anyway, at the ANA I was admiring another medal (a sliver of one I have in bronze and have been tempted by for a couple shows now), and this one was innocently sitting next to it. Silver, a well known Art Deco medalist, horses, well it hit all the triggers. I'd never seen one before and I look a reasonable amount. I'm sure if I did some digging I could find something about it--Raymond Delamarre has a reasonable body of work.

And, for the thread...resurrecting my two favorite conders, not my best photo work, but I was having fun looking at them. I'm probably going to sell all my conders except these two.

Theme still animals, A? Another eagle, 1760 Achen (Aachen, Aken) XII Heller.
I have become kind of hooked on these type coins, now doing die varieties. 1760 Aachen XII h obv-2.JPG 1760 Aachen XII h rev-2.JPG

Hamsa bird, cool. Here is a Cameroun 10 francs which maybe I have posted before. I just love those animals on there. Think they are eland. 1958 CM 10 f obv.JPG 1958 CM 10 f rev.JPG

Switching from animals, let's do non-traditional sports (i.e. no football, soccer, baseball, basketball, etc)

Here is my Canadian 2007 $25 silver piece commemorating the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver featuring curling, one of my only colored or holographic coins.

Coursing (and it has an animal too :D). But the theme is non-traditional sports.

    Is boxing "non-traditional"?
