You pictures are very good. Nice CUD, nice clash! To photograph rotated dies, use a mirror. It shows both sides and you can then calculate the degree of rotation. There are many threads on CT on this subject concerning what is more valuable and/or desireable...Spark
Thank you all for the info and ideas - totally can't let a coin out of my hand now without looking at em .. Lol
Wow, this coin has three errors on it. The large cud (CU-1c-1977-02), the small rim cud (CU-1c-1977-15), and the clashed die showing the Lincoln Memorial behind Lincoln's head. Great find, and a keeper for sure. Good eye.
Hi Anna2912. I've got a relative with same name as yours. she's a bit eccentric though - tends to spell her name backwards ! - Seriously, good luck with your Coin Hobby !!!
Anna nice find and welcome to CT. Good pics. But for close up pics I use my cell phone. But there is a trick I can share with you which is a little lengthy to explain in your post here but really easy and cheap. Feel free to start a conversation if you're interested . Happy Hunting.
I believe it is variety CU-1c-1977-15 as there is a small cud at the 7 o’clock mark on the Tim as well. Plus the coin is off center. I saw this same variety on sale on eBay a year ago for $69.00
That is absolutely one of the neatest coins around. I find coins that are clearly wack without the aid of any scopes the coolest. Specifically a coin that even someone with zero interest in the hobby would say "this ones messed up"! Enjoy that prize!!!
