All large dates right?

    All large. Even if there was a small in there, it would be zinc.
    There may be 2 1982-D small date coppers, but you or I are not finding the 3rd one.
    Hitting the Powerball has lower odds, so good luck with that.

    It does have the snowman 8, and is far away from the rim.
    The 2 marker is odd as it is not very curvy.If it weighs 2.5g it's zinc.
    They made 17 billion cents that year. While there aren't specific mintage numbers for small dates, it can be approximated that Philly made 2 billion and Denver made 1 billion small dates. Philly made them in zinc and copper. Denver only made them in zinc. 2 have been discovered on copper.

    That look like a small date, but it's Zincoln not Copper based on the photo. How accurate is your scale?

    I got it 4 days ago...been in one place on my desk since then. Just to get a 2nd opinion my sister is coming with her scale and calibration weights to weigh it.

    Most likely your scale rounded off 2.5 to 3.
    Generally, the copper coins are copper colored. (Brown)
    And the zinc coins which have a copper plating will have the shiny look to it.
    See the difference here. The left one is copper. (The center is ED copper) the one on the right is zinc with copper plating.
