    The second commemorative quarter-dollar coin released in 2008 honors New Mexico, and is the 47th coin in the United States Mint’s 50 State Quarters® Program. New Mexico, nicknamed the "Land of Enchantment," was admitted into the Union on January 6, 1912, becoming our Nation’s 47th state.

    I think the coin looks better in person than the mint sketches. My wife brought 2 home yesterdayso I guess I'll have to get a roll or two today.

    One of the few states that did a halfway decent job with a state outline.

    I'm looking forward to getting rolls of these being a native. I've called local banks - nothing yet !?
