I wanted to know if anyone sees anything fishy about it because there seems to be pits and black marks on the coins. Thank you and make sure to post some of you Augustus coins!

    Looks okay to me.

Here are mine that are in a similar state (off center, areas of flatness, worn in places, etc):

I have to say that these two photos in particular were taken by @Severus Alexander when the coins were up for auction in AMCC Auction 1. He takes much better photos than I.

These are my photos of the two coins:

Welcome aboard the board! Looks good to my amateur eye.
How long have you been collecting?
Oh and since I don't have a Otho as the monier here's another bronze Augustus of mine:

Welcome to CT, @Clonecommanderavgvsvs ! Good to have another fellow medieval collector on board. Also, your Augustus as looks perfectly fine to me.

Welcome aboard, and congratulations on scoring a nice coin. Since you're new to the hobby, I should point out that the Otho who minted your coin is not the same Otho who was declared emperor during the civil war of A.D. 69.

I assume he was a descendant, though. Does anyone know for sure? Grandson, perhaps?
