Just once a couple of years ago. It was a small group (2 or 3 cars full) and from what I understand they decided not to hang around (Webster, SD) after the local PD told the ringleader they didn't have enough manpower to protect/watchover them, direct traffic, and carry on necessary daily activities. He simply had to prioritize his workforce and gave them a map to the cemetery. LOL... Gotta love those small towns. :)

Wow... Were you ever stationed at Whiteman? Ya know... Oscar 1 Launch facility is now a tourist site.. You can still get to go down into the control room. We preserved it and the launch truck outside.. I am a Aircraft Structural Maintainer... we got to paint the facility and the truck.

No, never was stationed or TDY there. Ellsworth was where I finished up my Maintainer days at, but several of my old buddies worked there. We visited one a few years back. They live over in Sweet Springs.

    Take Care

I am not glad that you have to do this, but you guys kick &$$ for standing up and supporting families, what with the ridiculous "church" or whatever it calls itself that was protesting at soldiers funerals. Honour guards from the population are the best thing.
