I don't understand why they are listed / selling so high on eBay. They come with this years coin sets from the mint, so there is no mintage limit. If you want one, buy a proof set from the mint for $28 and get it that way.
Welcome to Coin Talk. I agree with Beardigger. These are literally tossed in with the Proof sets individually in cellophane holders. They are an interesting addition but no limit on the quantity. You will need one for your Lincoln set but the outrageous e-bay pricing is just that, pricing to take advantage of unaware buyers.
Well. MS68 or 69 or proof 68 or 69 graded is selling for under $20 usually. You could buy the whole mint set and roll the dice on a raw coin and send it for grading or just keep them ungraded like I did, but I can't blame people for spending just to get those coins already graded for the most part less than the grading fees unless you are looking for MS70 or Proof 70. I don't think it's out of line or unreasonable.
