Used to be 2 or 3 in person. Lately, it's been maybe 1 a year. I attend almost all major auctions virtually via internet bidding, however. I'd like to get to more shows, but other things have been getting in the way.
I've been a bit inactive....maybe 1-2 a year...but normally it's 4-5 including 1 or 2 big regionals or nationals
Local shows monthly, regional shows 1 -2 year, national shows 1 a year, so 14 to 15 per year. Loving it.
FUN, Central States, ANA, one or two smaller ones. With my daughter moving to Pasadena for grad school, I may add a Long Beach show to the mix.
I've never attended a show outside of the NYC Metro Area (most of those in NJ)....so if/when I hit FUN in 2020 it'll be my first big show and first out of the area.
Around 4-6 local shows a year. Out of town the expense is difficult recover in this market. My Online Store / the eBay coin show fills the gap and saves me travel hassle / expense.
Typically twice a year, once in the spring in the Twin Cities and once in the fall/winter in Fargo. Used to do Vegas yearly before my first wife passed away, wouldn't mind doing that again as well.
I used to go to the monthly coin shows in my area, but after 7 - 8 months I realizied that I kept looking at the same things, avoiding the same tables and talking to the same dealers. I bought less and less and so gradually stopped going. I haven't attended one in possibly over a year. I try to attend the area's 2 big shows per year. They fill a large auditorium and tend to bustle with activity. I don't always buy something, but often I just enjoy the atmosphere and the smell of all that metal. That's a longwinded way of saying 1 to 2, I guess.
