Are any of these people selling them within the US? If so why is law enforcement not doing something about that?

No, I don't know that but if law enforcement is working diligently to get these fraudulent coins out of the marketplace it does not seem to have effectively deterred the unscrupulous from marketing them, otherwise we would not be reading stories about collectors having to take enormous precautions in buying certain coins. Perhaps I have not seen or read about examples of seizures or arrests for marketing fraudulent coins but if you know of some please tell us.

I believe this is true in the US.
But China doesn't care if they make copies of US coins and sell them.
There are photos (here and other sites the web) of these Chinese factories with thousands of rare date counterfeit US coins in piles all over the place.

Lots of people sell them in the US. The ACTF is trying to convince the Secret Service to take the issue more seriously. Until recently, they saw a 1794 dollar as only its face value of $1. So they focused on counterfeit $100 bills instead. When they were told how many $100 bills these collectible coins were worth, they started taking these things seriously. But that has only been a very recent development. In time we will see more stringent enforcement of the law.

We really should start counterfeiting Chinese coins & currency and then ship then to China to spend .

Perhaps if enough fake currency enters their market they will think about selling fake US coins

Not legal, our counterfeiting laws make it illegal to make fake coins of other countries. Not all countries have similar laws. China is one that doesn't, which is why it is perfectly legal, in China, for them to make fake coins of other countries.

There's also a huge difference between targeting a collector market and targeting a money supply.

we should change the law to exempt Chinese coins from the anti-counterfeiting laws

Talk to your representatives. That's how laws get changed. (Helps if some of your "words" have lots of zeros in them.)

It certainly isn't " Free Speech ", is it?

I argue that point all the time, especially with people, of BOTH political parties, who insist that not only is the giving of money to politicians and political causes an honest thing to do, but a necessary thing to do.

The giving of money is NOT Free Speech, even though the Supreme Court has ruled it so.

Money is not free. It always carries a cost. You don't just find all you want lying on the ground or growing in a tree. Money has to be earned which is the cost.

The giving of money is not speech. The word speech means "words from the mouth". The giving of money from the hand is not words from the mouth.

Political donations are not "words from the mouth given without cost".

A political donation is "money from the hand that has to be earned".

We should endeavor to Take the Money Out of Politics.

It could be done but I won't go into the how of it here, as I've already stretched the largesse of the moderators far enough with my current oration.

They already fake their own stuff up to 1949. The Chinese collectors are just as frustrated.
