Good morning everyone. I need some help on this DIME. Would this be considered an error coin? and if so, what kind of error would this fall under. Or is this just a bad business struck DIME. Any info would be apreciated. Thank you in advance

I'm no expert by any means but that sure looks like a dryer coin to me either way I believe it to be damaged.

Thank you sir. I cant wrap my head around. The fact, that a dryer can do so much damage in 45 minutes or less. SMH

When I refer to a dryer coin I'm not talking about it tumbling around in the dryer I'm talking about it getting wedged in the dryer.
As the wheel goes round and round. LOL

    DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged
    Not a Mint Error

I'm not calling it a Dryer Coin but most likely altered maybe by pounding it with a hammer. The edge is flat and stretched out.

Here is some information on a Dryer coin -

It is also a great website for you to study and learn about true mint errors
