I found this response from a seller kinda funny seeing I bought it solely to add a damaged specimen to my collection. Plus the damage (to me) can't be reversed. I mean, half of the coin seems to have been "Filed Away" as if the person wanted to make a pin or something out of it. Plus it seems to be to have been severely cleaned by metal polish.
I won a cheap set of earbuds from China last week (I mean really cheap, $4.75 with shipping, or I never would have bid on anything from China) and the seller had the nerve to ask me to leave positive feedback BEFORE I received the item and WITHOUT leaving a positive for me! Ummmm... RED LIGHT! He had a low feedback and said if he can get his rating up, he can post more items. I tried to confirm that with eBay, but all I get are the standard form letters which deal with feedback but don't actually answer my question. (Yay eBay.) Anyway, as shady as it all is, I'll give the guy a week or so and see if my earbuds show up before leaving bad feedback and filing a PayPal claim. lol
That wasn't the topic of the thread. Plus he gave me feedback first!! I only got the coin yesterday!!
Maybe he thinks you didn't realize it was so damaged and feels bad for selling it to you. Seller's remorse... lol.
Solder dip?!? /fwiw as a seller on ebay, I would post positive feedback when payment cleared. As a Buyer, I post feedback only upon receipt of item..(normally based on shipping time and how the description representeded the item.
Yeah, I don' t know how you fix a coin. I left a neutral feedback for someone the other day and the seller turned around and left me a negative. I didn't make anything up that was untrue. Paid for the item immediately after winning. Doesn't matter. It's too bad you can't dispute feedback with ebay.
