Ok. This is the best DDO I've found. The ONLY one I found lol. It has all the characteristics. I hope you all will agree. If not, please let me know. Thanks Foo Bbn
Not a DDO. You need to study up on how "Doubled Dies" are produced in the era of single-squeeze hubbing.
Nice example of Die deterioration doubling, as @paddyman98 said. And as you undoubtedly know by now, It's worth face value I like your title "...DDO for Sure?" At first you sound confident then add the ? to hedge your bets. lol
Here's a little "rule of thumb" for zincolns and non-zincolns. When you see this, "visual doubling" which exists on the outside of the Date and Mint Mark (outside which is looking from the center of the coin to the outer rim). Then it's DDD/Split Plate doubling (zincolns only). You'll notice all the other "doubled" letters are "pushed" out towards the edge too, following the metal flow. Of course if it's enough you'll get the split plating too. At least that is one concept I use to initially identify DDD.
Yes thank you all for your comments. I was really hoping this was something of value. I NEVER ask the value of a coin, you can look back at all my posts and you will never see me ask what it's worth. I've just never seen such a spread on any coin, as I did on this one. If anyone wants to use it as an example of Die Deterioration, have at it. What's mine is yours. My quest to determine the difference between Die Deterioration and Doubled Dies continues. I'm on my 5th notebook, and it is filling up as quickly as the rest. Yall have a great evening and we'll see you down the road. Later,,,,,,, Foo
I have been studying, and taking notes and visiting different sites. And I still haven't seen what I found on this 2019. I just cant believe this isnt a DDO.
Zincs with that much circulation would likely never be worth much, no matter the variety I don't think.
