i think he is looking to jump the forum not for a week but for a year now quick close the door before he runs out
It gets old at times, frustration sets in. I guess there was an episode this weekend that put me over the top, nothing here on this site, it was an Ebay thing. Best to just ignore ( which is difficult ) but it is the solution. You cannot change the world, just distance yourself if it gets that bad it starts to affect your enjoyment of the hobby/biz. With Clembo coming, I do have light at the end of the tunnel. Step back a week or so, dont take yourself so seriously, and realize that I do sleep well at night, I do ok, and in 2 weeks, I'll be in coin heaven again at a major show. I have made some contact calls and it should be less " touch and go" than the ANA show. I'll be more focused. I also have my 1st show the 18th of May as a dealer, and Magman is my helper/booth buddy, so thats something to look forward to also, and should be a load of fun. I am stressing it. Being so "1st show uptite" right now. Clembo and I will keep you posted on our " Excellent Adventure " via my wireless laptop in the general discussion threads. I certainly plan on providing him a meal of genuine homestyle southwest outdoor cookin, ala the new grill under the palmtrees and next to the pool. Warning Clembo, I am a habanero addict, but I'll give you the " newbie" treatment if you want, I do after all hope you enjoy your meal, I do not want to send you home with sunburn from the inside out, LOL
If you've got the coin blahs, just take a nice fishing trip... If you're lucky, you could bag a really good fish...ya know, like the ONE my husband caught last weekend. Boy, that $175 Redfish sure fried up good!!:eating: Laura
You just need to live or move to a place like where I'm at. With the never ending shows, museums, zoos, carnivals, movie houses, restaurants and on and on with things to do. For coins you can't get tired of them if your doing so many other things all the time. Every Month around me there is coin shows, gun shows, knife shows, dog, cat, car, plane, boat, antique shows and lots more. We have so many museums, zoos and art institutes, there is just no time to get bored with anything. There has been many times when I've gone to 2 flea markets, 1 coin show, 1 gun show and two car shows all in the same day.
Oh one little draw back to my last post about how many things we have to do here. If you've watched the news lately you would see we are having a VERY SMALL, SLIGHT problem with crime here in the Chicago area lately.
I'd really appreciate that Jack. Been looking at the weather out your way and afraid the body will go into enough shock as it is. I know, DRY HEAT. Well, we topped 80 for a while yesterday and that's as high as it should go Seriously folks. Looking forward to it and have Jack to thank. I need a break PERIOD. Never been to Arizona or California. I'm one of those "go North" people. Better locate my SPF 2000XXX. clembo
You may have the coin blahs now, but after a week off, and back to major coin shows, and your first "dealership" in one, you'll be right back where you belong. You'll be loving the hobby/business while thinking of the good times you and Clembo had. And things will be good. Enjoy Bruce
The only thing that worries me about this "blah" trip is that we're going to get MORE posts from Phoenix than is normal. I can see that I'm going to have to increase the size of my Windows Swap File and clear out all my temporary Internet files. (Just kidding Phoenix!!!!!!)
