Probably the Best Video Overview of the Minting Process at US Mint

    I think this is the best media presentation of the minting process at the U.S. Mint that I have yet seen. It's a little dated without the computerized designing/engraving that's used now, though. Coin production process starts at 11:00:


    A bonus is that you get to see John Mercanti with his 1980s long hair.

    The actor presenting in the video is Debra Wilson, who was also a comedian. I almost died laughing watching her as the character "Bunifa Latifah Halifah Sharifa Jackson" here:

    10:35.. Huge metal tweezer.. Made me cringe!

    I just learned something new.. The Blanks are riddled before going to the upsetting proccess.

    Simple and you are right out dated somewhat. I notice they skipped going from the master hub to how dies were made.

    You found the "driving test" funny? I just found it annoying.
