Byzantine Histamenon, 4.39g and 25mm, struck in Constantinople under the reign of Theodora (1040s): 747884.jpg NOT MY COIN.

When I started to collect byzantines in 2015 it was nearly impossible to find Theodora-histamon at bidding auctions. But recently, let say the last 1-2 years I think that such coins has often popped up in auctions?

Do you feel the same way?

I want to ask: was there found a hoard of golds of Thedora?¨

Why have the numbers of Histamenon of Theodora sold at auctions increased the last 1-2 years?

New one for me. I always thought of the Empress Theodora as the consort and spouse of Justinian in the Sixth Century AD.
