I have a 57 Jefferson 5 cent piece that when held between the thumb and finger looking at the obverse, holding it on the sides (nose and back of head) and then rotating the coin to view the reverse, the reverse sive is turned to the rithe about 10 degrees. I have had my wife try it along with numerous others and we all get the same resul Is this a rotated die or die error?...or none of the above? Chris
Yes - it sounds like a rotated die error, but a minor one. I'm not an error collector myself, but I believe rotations of at least 30 degrees is desired - rotations of less than that are pretty much ignored.
