Your pictures are not good enough to help. Can you take a better closeup pictures? On the date and MM, also on the reverse and the initial.

Sorry, it just not good enough to see if it genuine or not (maybe just my visions are getting worse). Just wait for other to chime in.

How do you know it's real and that it's fire damaged? We can't tell either from the images. If real, I would send it in. If damaged it will come back as details but it will give you some idea of the value. There are a lot of fakes out there. Better images will get you better answers.

Why do you state that your coin has fire damage?
I see some toning on your coin which seem to be a well preserved example.

Pictures are impossible to tell anything except date and toning!

I thought it looked like it was fire damage and didn’t know it could tone like that

Based on the prominent die chip on the left wheat ear, I'm ready to say "Chinese counterfeit", even without clearer photos...?

At least bring it to a dealer to get an in-hand opinion. If it is a nicely toned authentic coin, it'd be worth it x 100. Or just send it in for 20-30 bucks;)

It does seem to have the horizontal crossbar in the B of the VDB that is an indicator of a counterfeit.

It's hard to tell authenticity from the pictures, but the toning is nice.

Looks a lot like my 1909 VDB, at least the reverse. DSC03834.jpg DSC03835.jpg DSC03832.jpg
