penny looks like it was made with 2 pieces and front is missing

    Looks like a shell. One half of a cent made into a magicians coin. Not a mint error.

    thank's, I looked that up. pretty cool. we found it going thru our coin stash that includes a lot of wheat pennies, silver dollars, and 50¢ pieces. has anyone seen an 1890 Morgan Dollar o encapsulated in clear acrylic about the size of a hockey puck?

    Is the Morgan the size of a hockey puck or do you mean the acrylic disc is the size of a hockey puck? Please clarify.

    Yes, they are desk weights to hold down papers from the ceiling fans way back when.... Enjoy it, if it is real acrylic, no way to remove it without more damage,
