Found in coin roll. Thoughts and/or opinions on why this year of copper is so shiny. I did read that there was some slight changes in metal composition during this year.
Based on the outline of the reverse toning of the second cent, I would surmise this cent has been taped in somebody’s coin book for a number of years. Consequently the obverse remained in good condition...... Usually when dealers get these coin books they will take them apart and all the memorial cents go back into circulation.
