I thought it should be graded higher also, maybe not 69, but .......... It's actually a proof, not MS. It's PR64+.
I metal detected where a restaurant had just been razed in downtown Fernandina Beach Florida. Prior to that a house sat on the lot until it burned down. This was the richest site I’ve ever found. In addition to the 2 half dimes and 3 dimes, I found Indian Head pennies including an 1864 “Fatty”, Wheat pennies, Barber quarters, a pistol, Minie balls, musket balls and a horseshoe. Two weeks later I saw 50 feet of sidewalk was gone. Found another Minie ball and a 1718 2 Reale, my oldest coin.
The type of dimes which I collect are not easily found in top grades (well, they can be found, but then you gotta pay the price...). These are examples from my focus collection of Capped Busts.
Unfortunately, I don't have one. I thought I did, but it seems I only have individual pictures for the key dates. I will look for it, though, next time I visit the SDB.
