    Hello,
A friend of mine found this coin in a lot he purchased at an auction. He was wondering if it was the P or D mint mark. I told him I thought it was a P but I would post some pics here and make sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am in no way an expert on world coins, but I would say that is a P.

    Beautiful coin too.

This is indeed the P-mark of Philadelphia.
When you encounter a D, be aware of counterfeits (P made into D), as almost the entire issue of the 1944D 10 cents was melted. With catalog values in Krause for this issue (1944D) ranging from 1100 $ in fine to 8500$ in BU, some people would try to deceive collectors.
