    Hey there all,
I recently acquired an estate collection that had several rolls of 1975 nickels that appear to be bank or machine rolled. Anyhow, here's on end coin which appears to be a full step example. I'd love opinions. Also, wondering if I should crack the rolls open to look for more good examples or if they hold more value as is...I I tend to sell them eventually.
    Thanks,
    Mark

I just acquired a handful of rolls of 1975 (and a couple other years) rolls of nickels. They appear to be bank rolled and are from an old collection. My question is this: should I sell them as is, or should I crack them open in hopes of finding more full steps examples like the one pictured in image #2. My ultimate intent is resale.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Well for me when I get bank rolls it's like Christmas, I'm little kid and can't wait to open my new presents. Lol

Just curious. When you go to sell them, what will you advertise them as? You don't know if they're all full step or the condition of the other coins in each roll.
Judging by the photo it doesn't look like the bottom step is full. (Could just be the shadows).

I'm not sure how I would list them for sale...I guess it depends on whether or not I crack them open...
Speaking of which, I tore into one roll which turned out to be a 71D
Here are 9 of the nicer ones from the first 30 I looked at before my wife chastised me for playing with coins on a Saturday night and told me to come watch TV with her which I am doing now while sipping a nice glass of bourbon.
I'll have better photos tomorrow because as I look at the photos now I realize you can't really see anything near enough detail to determine 5FS

I think I would still them as a roll.

I would double check the rolls if you are going to sell as a full roll of only a single date. The ends you show appear to have been opened and then manually re-closed and if someone buys them you don't want them to find a mix and use that for a refund or ding your rating. IMO, Jim

I opened one roll last night and below are two of the better examples. The roll was a 1971D
Any thoughts on 5FS is appreciated.
Hoping the huge thumbprint on the obverse of coin #2 adds value!!!
