Matte or Proof?

    I agree a dip in acetone will remove the haze. I believe that the Franklin mint produced these for the BVI . I also agree that I suspect the capsule plastic that caused the haze ,and would look like the other proof if kept in a regular 2x2.

    Same sort of haze seen and found on brown box Ikes.

    Now I have to dig out my brown box Ike's and take a look.

    Maybe check the inventory at another Home Depot. All of the HDs and Lowe's in my area sell it in quart cans.

    A quick dip removed all of my issues on an Ike. The haze just got wet looking and the coin dried bright.
