I wouldn't care about getting it graded, but I would want to get it authenticated.

If it weighs 3.1 it's a copper large date.
    You guys are meanies.

They didn't make any copper small dates in Denver in 1982 (intentionally).
So far 2 have been discovered to have been on copper planchets.
The odds are better that you win Powerball. But you never know.
Clear photos must always be included in these posts.

But the title of the thread says it is a small date. Chance is not a diagnostic! lol ;)

Look closely at the 2, then go to Couch Collectibles.com then search for 1982 d Lincoln penny, the "2" will describe the difference between the small and large date.
I will agree though, that this coin is well circulated, but that's what happens when they get used.
The question remains does the grading system grade only perfect uncirculated coins, or do they grade all rare coins?
Even if it's not worth 19,000.00 because of it's condition it certainly worth more than 1 cent, if you know anything about copper it would be worth more than one cent, it's solid copper, and sounds like your jealous that you didn't find it, I will discount your opinion.

Clearly a large date. No value above face.

IF clown collectibles is claiming that "2" is small, dont ever go there again....its a biggie not a small. The difference between the large date 1982 and small date are one of the easiest things to quickly determine as a part time novice in this sport. That site just wasted many minutes of your life.

Copper cents are not worth more than 1 cent.
Tired of this urban myth already.
