Well, there was alot of interest in this last time, but only tcore and I met. We had a good time though. Maybe we can get some more people together this time. I think meeting at a St. Louis area show again would be the best way to go. Maybe have lunch before and then all go to the show. If you've never been, the shows there are always pretty big. I always have alot of fun too, There is a show in August and another one in October. August 15-17 and October 16-18. I could probably make it to either one of the saturday, or the sunday. But it seems like half of the dealers don't stick around for Sunday. So lets try to get something organized. We've got plenty of time for everyone to try to clear a saturday, maybe even a friday off of their schedule. If anyone can make it, we'll make the details about where to meet and everything via PM's. Thanks.
A little more info on the shows. Aug. 15-17, Missouri Numismatic Society 48th annual coin festival. St. Charles Convention Center. One Conbention Center Plaza. Hours: Fri. 10AM-7PM, Sat 10AM-6PM, Sun 10AM-2PM Oct. 16-18. This one actually has two shows going on in seperate areas of the convention center. The 23rd Annual National and World Paper Money Convention. And also the Silver Dollar and rare coin expo in a different hall of the convention center. The days of the week and hours of this one are a little different: Thurs. Noon-6PM, Fri. 10AM-6PM, Sat. 10AM-6PM Hope that helps.
Thanks for taking the reins on this Adam. Yes, let's try to get together. Heck, I think we should shoot for August. That's far enough off. Saturday will probably work best for me. If we have fun then, we'll get together in October too!
How far are these shows from Arnold MO, I could visit family AND write it off !! August would be great for me
Arnold is south of St. Louis. St. Charles is on the west side of St. Louis. Looking at my road map, I'm thinking its only about 30 minutes away if traffic isn't bad. And I don't think the traffic would be bad around lunch time on a Saturday. That would be great if you could make it. By the way guys, I'm going to PM some of the people that were interested in meeting last time, just to make sure they see this thread. Also, just so people know, we'd love to meet you even if your not from MO or Illinois. So if anyone else is going to be in the area, or have family they could visiit nearby that would be good too. And if anyone is going to be working that show, feel free to let us know so we can stop by and say hello.
Hmmmm. We seemed to have alot more people interested several months ago. Anyone else out there? How bout Arizona Jack? Can you make it?
