Is this binary code more rare than normal or just a regular typical? I just put it to the side to see if any seekers are looking for 5 of the same numbers in a row. Wish they were zeros but still cool looking. Also you can see the top set of numbers kind of drifting up is that nothing to worry about..? Any type of feed back to unleash will be helpful. Thx
Binary serial numbers are less common, but, not too expensive. True binaries (1s an 0s) are most valuable. The top number drifting up is a "gas pump error" with a stuck digit which occurs commonly. Nice find! You might get $10-$15 for it on ebay.
Well, this is similar to putting makeup on a pig...on first sight, the pig may look good, but, you know, it's still a... So you look at this note & see all those 8's lined up, & your brain recognizes a "pattern" & automatically triggers a "it might be something special" response. It's not. And it wouldn't matter if they were zeroes. It may seem more attractive because the 8's are prominent at the end rather than the middle, but no. Consider all the possibilities with 10 digits (0 thru 9) & 4 different positions on a note...it happens more than you think, but your eye doesn't always see it that way. And the issue with the "numbers kind of drifting up"...that's not an issue either. That said, if you find it attractive, keep it...it only costs you $1.
Nice note, and the condition looks good to ! the only draw back is the two 6,s on the second and third digit having those there break up the sequence having Them at the end would have been a more valuable strike...LOL
The chart on page 5 gives you the odds of finding fancy serial numbers. http://www.coolserialnumbers.com/HowRareAreFancySerialNumbers.pdf
I find this bill really cool and I think with the right buyer, you can sell it fast. I have met so many people that have the fascination with the number 8 as they relate it to the infinite symbol. It all comes down to the buyer(s) which defines the rarity
