I have these two capped bust 50's, nice examples, but I've been having a hard time finding out what they are exactly worth. Any opinions on what they are worth and what grade they are? Is it worth getting them graded and slabbed?
I would say 1810 XF40/45(O-104 I think) and 1819 VF35. Can't really tell, but if you get them slabbed send then to ANACS. The dark spots or toning make me think cleaned, but not sure with the pictures. The prices - I would put the 1810 between 125 and 175 and the 1819 between 90 and 125. Just my opinions and I did not have time to attribute the 1819.
I can't tell from the images how much luster they have remaining or whether they have been cleaned in such a way they they would be rejected for grading. However, in terms of wear, the first coin looks AU to me and the second appears to be XF.
