    In case he's interested, neither
    coin is an error.

    They're both enviornmentally damaged,
    well after being released into circulation.

    They did not leave the US Mint like that.

    As suggested, if the OP disagrees with all of
    the posts in this thread - the solution is for
    you to submit the coin(s) to either of the
    top Authentication Services, and then show
    us the Mint Error holder that they come back
    to you in. (I'm holding my breath, so please
    submit them asap.)

    If your making a statement, you're wrong. If you're asking a question, it's damaged. Like in a park lot for a month or longer.

    As for the original posting coin it's a form of corrosion. Corrosion comes in many shapes forms and colors.

    It's not bogus info. It's corrosion. Zinc rot and corrosion are 2 different things. You came asking for help but apparently you already knew the answer.
