1989 D Kennedy Half Dollar W/Giant "P" Stamped on Obverse. Opinions???

    Alright everybody, I've got another one. My money is on post mint damage. But you know I have to get some better educated opinions before I toss it back into the roll...

    Is this a known defect? Or likely just post mint damage?

    Welcome to Coin Talk. It didn't come from the mint like that. It's considered damage as it was struck by someone with a punch.
