What did the LBJ regime do with all of the silver coins they removed from circulation? If they were melted, would that make the remaining ones any more valuable as numismatic coins than just as plain melted silver?

Yes the silver coins that the government removed from circulation between 1965 and 1970 were melted down and became part of the "Strategic stockpile" which they then sold back to the people in the form mostly of silver eagles between 1986 and 1998. (Since then the government has had to buy silver on the open market to make into silver eagles to sell at slightly over cost.)
Electronic motherboards and components otherwise we would have the computer"hobby" today as we know it. That LBJ knew much more than given credit for...
LBJ sure knew how to become president, which was his lifelong dream. And that was without even being elected.
