Does anyone have an eagle from the W mint that has a 2008 reverse?

And maybe pictures of it...

 

Congratulations on your acquisitions. I wouldn't mind having one of those for myself, just because its a variety. It may be the first variety for this series. Now what you need is to acquire one with the new reverse.

Are these selling at a significant premium, do you know?

I just ordered another 4. We'll see what happens, besides, I always have my 2 uncirculated 2008 Mint Rolls with the 2008 Reverse as well as my 2 Proof 2008 ASEs with the 2008 Reverse.
We'll see what happens !!!

I have bought a 2008-W ASE to compare with the error version.


Much better to display the difference between the two with friends that way.

Look at my pictures for a comparison between the 2007 reverse and the 2008 reverse. These coins are both 2008 W ASE.

Look at the differences in the "U" for United States , also the stars.

Oh... the bottom coin is the 2007 reverse design. The top coin is the 2008 reverse design.

 

You mean the other way around right? The bottom coin is the 2008 reverse design and the top coin is the 2007 reverse design. At least that is how I am seeing it.

Actually, the bottom coin is the 2008 W ASE with the 2007 reverse design. The top coin is the 2008 bullion ASE with the 2008 reverse design.

I didn't realize that you had both coins stacked on top of each other. I thought you took two pics and overlapped them. I was looking at the "lower" coin and you were referring to the coin on the bottom of the two! We were both referring to the same coin.

When did you order your coins? I was on the subscription program and got mine early on. I would like to obtain one of these coins, but don't want to order 10 only to find out that non have the 07 reverse.

I ordered all 6 of mine at one time approx 2 weeks ago from the U.S.Mint in hopes that I'de get lucky.....and, low and behold I did for once in my life !!!!!!!!!

OK - Just did something soooooooooo stupid - I just ordered 5 more ASE UNCs. I rather pay $25 for the coin than $200. If more than a quarter of the total number produced are of this variety then once the hysteria dies down so will the price. Just like the first spouse coins.
